cyndi clark | owner + potter

Cyndi has had an interest in pottery since taking her first pottery class when she was only 13 years old.  Her love of pottery has continued to flourish and grow ever since! Through her teenage years, Cyndi continued to take classes and create work. She then moved on to Marietta College where she studied ceramics. 

​Once completing her studies, Cyndi continued to build on her experience through workshops at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, the Jewish Community Center, and the College of Wooster. She has also had the opportunity to take on teaching roles at the Chagrin Valley Arts Center.

​Cyndi's inspiration comes from the things she loves most: travel and nature. Many of her designs and carvings are also inspired by what she observes in her daily life. As an apiarist, Cyndi observes the patterns of bees and often uses their rhythmic flow in her own designs. She enjoys envisioning a finished piece and what it will hold or be used for to guide her designs. She strives to create functional pottery that will be used and enjoyed daily.

Cyndi's pieces are created through mid firing white stoneware.
​ All of her pieces are completely unique - you'll never
find one that is exactly like another. She finds that every kiln load is different and progressively better. She is constantly challenging herself to create something new and exciting by trying out new glazes, patterns, designs, and vessels. She enjoys having the  freedom to create small batch pottery and to make the pieces ​that she loves.
